The Metals:

 

Gold saw slight losses in Asia, but it then chopped back higher in London and New York and ended near its late session high of $1288.70 with a gain of 0.2%. Silver rose to as high as $16.892 and ended with a gain of 0.54%.

 

Euro gold fell to about €1092, platinum gained $1 to $920, and copper climbed 5 cents to about $2.97.

 

Gold and silver equities rose roughly 1% by midday and remained near that level for the rest of the day.

Tomorrow brings Personal Income and Outlays, Chicago PMI, and Consumer Sentiment.

 

The Markets:

 

Oil dropped over 1% on profit taking.

 

The U.S. dollar index fell and treasuries edged lower while the Dow, Nasdaq, and S&P held near unchanged on frustration over the lack of details for Trump’s tax plan.

 

Among the big names making news in the market today were GoPro, Caltech, Aramco, Toshiba, Roku, McCormick, and Blackberry.
