A $10 Million Strategic Investment by Hecla into Dolly Varden's High Grade Silver-Gold Project

Live from Zurich, I speak with the President and CEO of Dolly Varden Silver, Shawn Khunkhun, about their high-grade Silver and Gold project in Western Canada. Shawn discusses how the company is advancing the project forward along with Hecla Mining's recent $10 Million strategic investment into Dolly Varden Silver, further increasing their equity position in the company to over 15%.

Khunkhun states:

Yes, so we did close within the last 2 weeks at 10 million dollars, strategic investment from Hecla. What I celebrate [in] the investment in addition from Hecla going from 10% to 15% as a company, there's no fees that go along with that financing. So the company nets 10 million dollars which is significant. And I think that what we've demonstrated at Dolly Varden is an ability to grow our resources. We've done that through acquisition, we've had a lot of success with the drill bit. So I think they celebrate the wide intercepts that we're hitting, the high-grade nature of the deposit, the fact that we're in a safe jurisdiction. I think all these reasons contributed to their investment.

He continues:

You mentioned the Golden Triangle, it's got a history of big gold deposits and big silver deposits. If you look to the north of us, you've got the Eskay Creek Project, which was 200 million of silver at 2500 grams per ton. It also had 3 million ounces of gold. So we're surrounded by some of the biggest richest deposits in the world.
