Oil fell and treasuries rose on disappointing jobs data that sent the Dow, Nasdaq, and S&P lower for most of trade, but a late session rally left the major indices near unchanged by the close.

The U.S. dollar index traded mixed as the euro fell on worries about Spain’s budget and the yen rose on demand linked to the end of Japan's financial year.

Among the big names making news in the market today were EBay, Apple, Nest Buy, and JetBlue.
