Gold was then Fixed at $1,770.75 and in the euro at €1,369.913, while the euro stood at $1.29267. Ahead of New York’s opening gold stood at $1,772.77 and in the euro at €1,371.16.
Gold saw notable losses in Asia before it rose to see an over 1% gain at $1791.20 by about 9AM EST, but it then fell back off midday and ended with a gain of just 0.2%. Silver surged to as high as $35.367 before it also fell back off at times, but it still ended with a gain of 0.58%.
