Fire, Water...and the "4 G's"

I have thought about writing this type of piece many times before but have only touched on the subject several times. I had decided in the past not to venture forth because I was afraid that what I wrote might be perceived incorrectly and turn readers off to my main message of protecting themselves financially. What I am about to write assumes we will have at least a short period of time where life goes back if not 150 years, but maybe to "caveman days".

The gold price closed at $1,237.80 up $4.40 on Wednesday. Asia took it higher to $1,239.75 ahead of London’s opening. The euro is over 1.5 cents stronger at $1.2802. The Fix was set $1,241.00 up $17.50 and in the euro at €969.380 up €1.805, while the euro stood stronger at $1.2802. The Fix was set $1,223.50 down $9.50 and in the euro at €967.575 down €7.373, while the euro stood weaker at $1.2645. The volumes of gold traded were three sellers selling 38,000 ounces and one buyer buying 18,000 ounces before the pro rata arrangement kicked in. Ahead of New York’s opening, gold was trading at $1,223.80 and in the euro at €967.78.

The Fix was set $1,233.00 up $5.00 and in the euro at €974.949 up €5.807, while the euro stood weaker at $1.2647. The volumes of gold traded were three sellers selling 48,000 ounces and one buyer buying 32,000 ounces before the pro rat arrangement kicked in. Ahead of New York’s opening, gold was trading at $1,233.2 and in the euro at €974.70.

Silver, Warfare and Welfare

US policies that promote warfare and welfare have produced massively increased debt, much higher consumer prices, larger government, and more central bank intrusion into the markets. And yes, higher silver and gold prices also resulted from these policies.

The gold price closed at $1,222.50 up $11.90 since yesterday. Asia followed through on the rise to take it up to $1,227 once again. London held it at higher levels. The euro continued to recover and stood at $1.2760, up a full cent on yesterday. The gold price was Fixed at $1,227.50 up $7.50 and in the euro at €961.991 down €1.522, while the euro stood at $1.2760.
